In keeping with our 5th tradition which states our primary purpose is to
carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic, we of Alcoholics Anonymous
in District 7 of Area 24, Des Moines, Iowa have created this website.
We hope the information about AA in Central Iowa
will be helpful to those who visit here.

2009 Area 24 2009 Fall Conference October 9-11th On the Broad Highway we want ‘Unity in Service’.

Hospitality is looking for your participation at the conference. We want the hospitality room sponsored by different groups of District 7 and 20. This will be bracketed into 2-4 hour time slots. Your group would supply the hospitality room with your members, food, funds, or other donation.

The cut off is September 11th to inform the committee of your desired contribution. Times will be organized after all requests are collected. Your group will be contacted with it’s time block please submit a preference; we will do all we can to accommodate groups requests.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience,
strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others
to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
