Corrections

The corrections chair is responsible for being present at every District function, and meeting and reporting on their committee's upcoming plans for carring the A.A. message into correctional facilities. The correction Chair is responsible for coordinating the work of individual members and groups who are interested in carrying the message of recovery into correctional facilities, or by mail to alcoholics in the corrections system. The Corrections chair should plan to attend the Area 24 Spring and Fall Conference workshop on Corrections, or send a representative if they are not able to. Term: Two years

To take meetings into the Women's Correctional Facility in Mitchellville, the application below would need to be filled out and faxed to the fax number on the form or you can contact the webmaster@aadesmoines.org to arrange for someone who is currently taking meetings to the facility to take your application with them.

To take meetings into the Newton Jail, the application would need to be printed, filled out and then either taken to the Newton Jail or you can contact the webmaster@aadesmoines.org to arrange for someone who is currently taking meetings to the jail to take your application with them.
